During the three-day Youth Song and Dance Celebration, 77,300 tickets were sold, compared to 65,400 tickets in the previous youth event and 153,900 in the regular songfest in 2009.
The song festival was somewhat more popular of the two, selling 45,932 tickets compared to 31,350 for the dance celebration, organizer Sten Weidebaum told uudised.err.ee.
Singers numbered 22,239 and musicians 2,111 on July 3, whereas 7,554 folk dancers and gymnasts took the stage on the two previous days that were dedicated to dancing.
The mass of talented youth, flooding in from throughout the nation and elsewhere, too, consumed 7,100 kilograms of rye bread and 22,440 kilograms of soup last week.
In light of exhausting all-day rehearsals in unusually warm weather, up to 31 Celsius, Participants and guests seeked first aid attention in 6,153 instances.
