A. H. Tammsaare Museum
In the Tallinn district of Kadriorg, in a historicist summer dwelling type of house, is the former apartment of classic Estonian author Anton Hansen Tammsaare (1878-1940), now a museum. The writer lived in this building from 1932-1940. The museum collections contain over 6,000 items, including the writer's death mask and violin and his home archive, which features manuscripts, correspondence, documents and photographs. Interesting to know: - the museum holds literary evenings, conferences, theatre performances and exhibitions. - In addition, excursions and various literary programmes for students can be booked.
