Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve was created in 1994 and it is one of the largest conservation areas in Estonia. Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve is a large lowland in the centre of Estonia. The main values of the area are its ecological diversity, different swamp communities and rivers. The uniqueness of the conservation area lies in the abundance of its old rivers, the structure of its forest communities, and extraordinarily low number of human population.
Information about the conservation area is available at Emajõe-Suursoo Nature Centre in Tartu County and Endla Information Point in Jõgeva County.
