Alatskivi Church of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church

When you go to Alatskivi, make sure you go and see Alatskivi Church (1636), as well as castle. The interesting church on Kirikumägi Hill was built by squire Stackelberg from 1777 to 1782. It was altered in later days, and its layout was given the shape of a cross. W. Nolcken’s painting "Last Supper" adorns the altar of the church. The organ was made by Müllerstaedt in 1868.

Alatskivi church is a national cultural monument. Church services take place at 12:30 pm on Sundays; during that time, you can also view the interior of the church.

Interesting facts: The graves of important contributors to local culture on Alatskivi cemetery are under national protection.
