The medieval furnishings of the Ambla Church were destroyed during the Livonian War. The church has the oldest high belfry of a rural church. During the summer, you can visit the Ambla Church from Friday to Sunday.
Interesting facts: The Latin name of the church “Ampla Maria” is derived from the name of its location – Ambla. In the churchyard, there is a grave monument entitled “Boy with a Poppy” and a monument to the War of Independence. The current steeple was built in 1857 and is 49.5 m high.
