In 1990, a monument was erected to the writer, born in Viljandi county, Laatre parrish. The monument is located on the banks of Karksi old valley and was funded by local companies and farms, the author of the monument being Jaak Soans.
Good to know: · Thanks to Kitzberg, we know so much of the culture and lifestyle of "the mulks" - local farmers, residing in the area and gaining their wealth by cultivating and selling flax. · "The mulks" did not compete with each other, but the owners of manors.
