The British comic will bring his "Force Majeure" show to a one-night engagement at the Nokia Concert Hall in Tallinn on March 20, 2013, it was announced today.

Started by a local troupe of comics two years ago, the stand-up scene in the country has significantly expanded its international reach.

Thanks to his prolific work and appearances in major motion pictures, Izzard - his shtick includes cross-dressing, rapid-fire monologues and subtle pantomime - is considered a major star, even bigger than Dylan Moran, who performed his second show in Estonia in late September.

A Channel4 audience poll in 2010 pegged Izzard as the fifth greatest standup of all time, behind such figures as Richard Pryor and Bill Hicks.

Tickets will go on sale in early December.
