Cooking edibles from the wild at Roosta

Roosta Holiday Centre offers an opportunity to learn various methods of cooking with wild produce: jams, canned food, soups, salads, main courses and desserts. You can make jams from blueberries and lingonberries; alternatively, you can make a blueberry cake and a lingonberry cake, as is the tradition in lingonberry-rich woodlands. You can learn to make delicious mushroom soups or salads, as well as to bake those. The class will last about 1–3 hours. Visitors can buy local delights, such as pickled mushrooms, lingonberry and blueberry jams, lingonberry cake and heather honey with lingonberries, prepared according to the local tradition.
