Cycling tour on Muhu Island

View on map

Muhu Island is a place where time stops and the sea speaks.

Sleepy fishing villages, working windmills, rural cottages with thatched roofs, and many roe deer, moose, and birds. St. Catherine's Church in Muhu with its pagan tombstones in the village of Liiva is one of the oldest in Estonia. On the eastern coast, you will find the Prehistoric Culture Trail that takes you to the sacred places of the ancient Estonian religion.

If you would like to continue towards Kuressaare, then a 3 km Väinatamm causeway joins Muhu and Saaremaa islands across Väike strait.

The beautiful places in Muhu are also easy to visit by car if you do not have a bike at hand.
