Tuhala is located in Harju County, which has been settled for around 3,000 years.

There are 11 sites of ancient settlement, 30 cult stones with little hollows in them, three stone barrows, four sites of sacred groves and more in the vicinity. In Heinasoo, located between Tuhala church and the manor park, you'll find the oldest log road in Estonia, dating back to the 3rd–4th centuries.

Tuhala is known best for its overflowing Witch’s Well, but its landscape reserve - the largest karst area in Estonia (188 ha) - has a lot of other sites of interest, too.
