There is an extraordinary amount of space in Estonia per capita - more than half of the country is home to Mother Nature alone, swathed in forests, misty bogs and rock-strewn beaches. There are very few places in Europe that are as pristine and untouched as Estonia.

The more that people congregate in towns and cities, the further they are removed from the forests and sea. But people are a part of nature, too, and a part of the animal kingdom - we might not remember it ourselves, but our genes give it away. Returning to nature's fold is like a journey of self-discovery, one the museum takes you on, telling you stories of Estonia's natural wonders and helping to decode its mysteries.
