The NO99 theater's “Three Kingdoms” has been selected by German, Austrian and Swiss critics as last year's most important foreign performance.
The 42 critics who were surveyed by the German publication Theaterheute responded with a rare instance of shared praise, reported uudised.err.ee.
Premiering in September 2011, “Three Kingdoms” was written by Simon Stephens of the UK and produced by Sebastian Nübling, one of Germany's most acclaimed directors.
The play is a nominant for the German Theater Association's best producer award, to be given out in November.
NO99 is planning another Sebastian Nübling play for 2013.
