Excursion in Mooska Farm

During the Mooska SmokeSauna Farm TOUR visitors get to know 3 different smoke saunas. One of them is used to smoke meat and the other two smoke saunas host sauna lovers for guided sauna treatments and rituals. The tour explains the rich set of sauna customs, beliefs, and traditions, demonstrates whisks and whisking, sauna spells and a lot more. Võromaa's smoke sauna tradition is on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO). The height of the tour is the degustation of ham produced in Mooska SmokeSauna Farm. This is mainly pork, that is smoked in the smoke sauna for 40 hours in a traditional way. Visitors can also be delighted in Mooska Farm Shop to find some sauna related handicrafts and local food souvenirs.

Smoke saunas are located next to the pond, close to the forest in the picturesque scenery of typical Estonian lifestyle farm.

The tour and the degustation last 1 – 1,5 hours and costs 10€ per person, kids free of charge.

Booking the time of visit beforehand and getting confirmation is essential!

The tour has been awarded with the EHE (Genuine and Interesting Estonia) quality label.
