This tour introduces manors that belonged to many well-known Baltic Germans (the Von Stackleberg, Von Uexküll and Ungern-Sternberg families). Some manors are in ruins (Ungru castle) and falling apart and you cannot see the inside of some manors, but these grand manors are worth visiting. The Neo-Baroque Ungru Castle is almost an exact replica of the Merseburg Castle in Germany and the classicistic Riisipere manor still amazes the visitors with the former aristocratic grandiosity.
Many of the manors offer accommodation.
It is convenient to start and end the tour in Tallinn.
