In the Middle Ages, there were two towns on the site of contemporary Pärnu, Vana-Pärnu (Perona) and Uus-Pärnu (Embeck). The latter formed around the Pärnu castle that was mentioned in the records as early as in 1265. The fortified trade city belonged in the Hanseatic League.
During the excursion, we walk along a trail of the Medieval city walls of Pärnu. We talk about how the city was built and what kind of houses and streets Medieval Pärnu had.
The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and a suitable size of a group is 1–30 people. It is also possible to take larger groups on tour.
