Guided tour of Pärnu Museum - On the Trail of Bastions

The guided tour begins in the Baroque exposition room of the Pärnu Museum where you can study a model of Pärnu in the 17th century when it was still a fortified city. While discussing the culture and the world view of the Baroque era, your guide will show you the bastions located outside the museum.

The bastions are the oldest architectural monuments of Pärnu and they used to be a part of the town's fortifications. The bastions that were designed to surround the city bore the names of celestial bodies: Venus, Saturnus, Mars, Luna, Jupiter, Mercurius and Sol.

The size of a group should be about 21-25 people. The guided tour lasts for about 1.5 hours.

In addition to the tour guide's fee, each person must also pay for a ticket to the Baroque exposition room (€1 per person).

NB! Guided tours must be booked in advance!
