A holiday village or camp is an establishment providing limited accommodation services, that has enclosed areas for tents and/or caravans, parking sites for motor vehicles and/or dwelling houses (bungalows) (Estonian tourism law).

There are over 300 campsites in Estonia. A growing number meet western European standards. Sewage facilities, electricity and water connections for caravans are still being added to those campsites that are not yet equipped with them. Caravan sites in Estonia are usually situated near a motel where you can do your laundry, have a good meal, check e-mails etc. Many camp sites also offer log cabins for rent.

Though many are open throughout the year, it is still a good idea to check before arriving.

Camping is probably the best way to get close to the beautiful nature of Estonia. You will find camp sites in the National Parks and near popular resorts. Camping is only allowed at designated camp sites within the National Parks. Outside the parks, wild camping is tolerated.

Along back country roads you can find places offering a generous hot country meal at very reasonable prices. Some of these pubs also offer camping possibilities on their land.
