Iiripillisaare bog hike

We will visit the Iiripillisaare bog island covered in a mystical elven forest – an old broadleaved eutrophic boreo-nemoral forest mostly consisting of ancient oaks and linden trees. During the late spring, lady's slippers, the nature's beauty queens, bloom here. We can admire the delightful views of Plaamandisaare bog and the Jägala River. We will learn about the various plants growing in forests, bogs and fens. During the hike, we will talk about the nature, local legends and the history, mythology and traditions of ancient Estonians. You can order catering and use a smoke sauna after the hike for an additional fee.
