Ilon’s Yard, a children’s park in Haapsalu

Läänemaa Children’s Library is the home for Ilon’s rooms – a reading room and a candle hall where children’s events related to literature and music are organised. The upstairs playing room displays a selection of children’s books, video films and recordings of fairytales.
In the back yard of the library you will find Ilon’s Yard – the children’s playground. The attractions in the park are durable and safe and satisfy the needs of smaller children – there are spring swings, a sand box, a bench, Ronja’s castle with a slide and a stage, a labyrinth, swings and a climbing ladder. Good to know: Ilon’s Yard was named after Ilon Wikland who illustrated the books of a world famous children’s writer Astrid Lindgren.
