Kärevere Nature Reserve

On Kärevere Nature Reserve you can admire the migration and nesting of birds, the spring floods and the flora and fauna of the river, meadow and forest landscapes.

The purpose of the reserve is to protect rare animal and plant species and their habitats, forest and meadow communities and inland bodies of water. Protected species include the black stork, lesser spotted eagle, white-tailed eagle, various bat species, asp, spined loach, bullhead, weatherfish and lady’s slipper orchid.
