Kayaking on the flooded area in the Soomaa National Park

The end of March and early April is a time when a unique phenomenon can be seen in the Soomaa National Park: Soomaa flood or the fifth season, as people call it!

This is the time when get out of their beds, flood all the forests and meadows, and engulf all the roads that get in their way! Come and see this marvellous phenomenon with your own eyes!

We organise kayaking tours every day of the week, two times a day. The tour takes about 3 hours.

Getting there

If you come from Pärnu, drive to Tori and then take a turn to Jõesuu. In Jõesuu, about 50 m after the village border, signs guide you to turn right and drive 8 km to the Soomaa National Park centre and Riisa Village .
