Õisu Hiking Trail

Follow the signs from Õisu manor to the Õisu river valley hiking trail that is known for its steep sandstone outcrops. The highest outcrop is 14.6 metres high with a length of 34.4 metres. A unique sight is the partially renovated relief engraving "The Water Carrier Virgin" from the 1930s (author E. Põld).

One part of the trail follows the slope of river valley with views of the turbulent Vidva creek, while another part continues along the opposite bank of the creek on lower, more forested ground from where you can admire the grand sandstone outcrops on the other side. The Õisu river valley is also known as the Taevaskoja of Mulgimaa (Mulgi country).
