Bogshoe hike in Laukasoo mire in Tartu County

During the four-hour hike, we will walk a few long and a couple of short kilometres in Laukasoo mire. We will visit Pähklisaar, which is a military heritage and a primeval nature site. Pähklisaar is a swamp island in Laukasoo, surrounded by picturesque swamp lakes, additionally, a century-old aspen grows there. It is said that a Swedish king's gold and silver treasure is buried on Pähklisaare and has not yet been found, which adds to the excitement. Pähklisaar, as many other swamp islands, was used by the Forest Brothers as a location for their bunker. We will also take a look at a milled peat production area.

Everyone that can walk in snow, can also walk with bogshoes in a swamp.
