The summer music festival Klaaspärlimäng ('Glasperlenspiel' in German) was inspired by the themes of the Hermann Hesse novel of the same name, which is why every attempt is made to view and present music from unusual angles. Klaaspärlimäng has featured appearances by the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra, the West-Deutsche Rundfunk Sümfooniaorkester, the Tokyo Philharmonic Choir, the Berlin Philharmonic Quintet, Gidon Kremer, Vadim Repin, Piotr Anderszewski, Olli Mustonen, Christoph Eschenbach and most of Estonia's leading musicians.
