The bottom of Lake Karujärv is mainly sandy and there are five islands. According to legend, Lake Karujärv got its name after 7 bears that fought there. To make them stop, God made it rain so heavily that the lake was created. The bears went their separate ways, which is why the lake has 7 bays.
The sandy beach of Lake Karujärv is perfect for enjoying the summer and relaxing at a camping site.
Good to know: Karujärv is the oldest lake in Saare County, at almost 8,000 years old. The area of the lake, which is under nature protection, is 330 ha, and its deepest spot is 6 m.

Pieni järvi

Pieni hiekkapohjainen järvi lähes keskellä saarta. Kamping alueella myös pieni kioski missä saa edullista ruokaa. Ympäri järveä kiertää tie josta pistoteitä järvelle.
