Lake Saadjärv is the only one of its kind to make the top tens of both the biggest and deepest lakes in the country. It covers 708 hectares and sinks to 25 metres at its deepest point. It is the largest lake in the Vooremaa region, located on the border of Jõgeva and Tartu counties.
Operating on the lake is the Saadjärv Yacht Club, which arranges boat, canoe and yacht trips. On the shores of the lake, meanwhile, is the Ice Age Centre, where you can see a life-size mammoth and other creatures from this period in history and find out more about climate change.
