See photos (8) Along the 2.6 km hiking trail, you can take a look at the Lipstu heath and Lake Sõbessoo. The boardwalk is 940 m long and the hiking trail is 1,690 m long.
Sõbessoo with its many swamp pools is a suitable nesting place for typical fen birds. Here, you can spot whooper swans or Montagu's harriers. The local forests are a home to various species of woodpeckers, grouses, hazelhens, stock doves and earless owls.
In the summer, you can admire waterlilies blooming on the surface of the lake.
During hot summer days, it is a great place for a refreshing swim.
The bog offers relaxing moments during any season. Here, you can also go on a bog-shoe adventure!

Drive 9 km along the Rapla-Märjamaa road, turn towards Jalase. Drive for 4.6 km through the Jalase village, turn right (sign for Jalase + a symbol for hiking trails) and drive along the Jalase-Ohukotsu road for 1.3 km until you see a sign for the hiking trail and a recreation area. In order to reach the bog trail, take the marked forest trail and walk for 1.1 km until you reach a field. The trail runs for 300 m along the field until the start of the boardwalk. If you wish to drive by car to the start of the boardwalk, then drive past the sign for Jalase for 3.5 km until you reach the Jalase village, turn right and drive for 2.2 km along a track passing through forests and fields.
