The Onion Route marks out a unique region where you will encounter Estonian farming folk culture, Russian Old Believers and Baltic German cultural heritage. The museums in the area showcase local structures, sites and stories. The three cultures represented in the area are linked musically as well as in shared tastes and knowledge. All of the museums offer similar programmes - a lecture, a workshop and music - which focus on what makes them individually special.
