Mihkli Farm Museum on Saaremaa

Mihkli Farm Museum on Saaremaa

MIHKLI TALUMUUSEUM, Viki küla, Saaremaa vald, Saare maakond

View on map

A pearl of cultural heritage hidden on the mysterious island of Saaremaa is waiting to be discovered!

One of the most unique museums in Estonia – a farm complex which has developed over eight generations of one family with many farm machines and tools which have been mostly manufactured or used by the residents of the same farm.

We offer programmes and activities on nature and cultural heritage. Many traditional events take place in our farmyard, such as the Saaremaa summer village party and Mihkli Fair.
There is a village swing, a windmill, an island sauna, a picnic area, and a peasant park. A museum shop is also open – you can get both coffee and ice cream!

An out-of-the-way gem! This small farm museum shows how the islanders framed around 200 years ago. The buildings and exhibits are well maintained and the setting id so quiet and peaceful. \this was a...
