Themed "Freedom", Viljandi Folk Music Festival welcomes audiences with a programme full of contemporary renditions of traditional music from Europe, U.S. and Russia. This year's musical highlights include
Acid Arab (France) mixing Eastern music with electro beats as well as Casey Driessen (USA) pushing the boundaries of instrumental music.

Viljandi Folk Music Festival runs until Sunday 26th of July with regular buses and trains dropping festival goers off at a walking distance from the castle hills ruins where the heart of the festival is based.

Day tickets and individual concert tickets can be purchased at the festival area, with camping and communal indoor sleeping areas available for a small fee.
