Nights Get Blacker, Film Festival Continues

05. December 2010

The Black Nights Film Festival screenings wind up today, but it's only the start of a week of mini-festivals in many regional centres.

Many towns will feature three or four festival films, while Jõhvi in northeastern Estonia will have its own film festival, ETV reported.

Black Nights also featured film scores and soundtracks this year, and the St. Petersburg, Russia-based orchestra Cinema will perform three concerts in Estonia accompanied by a choir and the Mariinsky Theater soloist Zhanna Dombrovskaya.

After performing in Jõhvi and Tartu, on December 6 the orchestra will treat Tallinn to its renditions of music composed by Eduard Artemev for Russian and Hollywood movies as well as other favorites from spaghetti westerns and cult classics.
