MOON is a tricky word. In English, it means the Moon; however, when pronounced the Estonian way [mɔːn], it stands for a beautiful red flower (poppy), as well as a substantial packed meal taken along when travelling.
A few years ago, Roman and Igor decided to toss their tall white chef's hats in the corner and go back to their roots, and thus, Café Moon was born. Quoting a good friend of the owners and a wonderful person who said after visiting Moon for the first time: “You have to go back to move forward!”
Simplicity, independence, local raw ingredients, integrity and respect, Nordic coolness. An unusual name. Unusual location. But a very usual place otherwise. Café MOON has been selected to the Top 50 of the best restaurants in Estonia for several years running.

Visited here w some business collegues for early dinner. Felt from first moment like home. Very friendly service, excellent quality of food. One of the best restaurants in Tallinn
Love their handmade pies and whole menu. On Fridays and Saturdays you should book a table in advance.
