MOON is a tricky word. In English, it means the Moon; however, when pronounced the Estonian way [mɔːn], it stands for a beautiful red flower (poppy), as well as a substantial packed meal taken along when travelling.
A few years ago, Roman and Igor decided to toss their tall white chef's hats in the corner and go back to their roots, and thus, Café Moon was born. Quoting a good friend of the owners and a wonderful person who said after visiting Moon for the first time: “You have to go back to move forward!”
Simplicity, independence, local raw ingredients, integrity and respect, Nordic coolness. An unusual name. Unusual location. But a very usual place otherwise. Café MOON has been selected to the Top 50 of the best restaurants in Estonia for several years running.
Everything worked well in our dinner. Service was nice with good suggestions for wine. Food was excellent from starters to desert, and pricing better than downtown restaurants.
The food was presented beautifully - and the right amount - not to much, not too little. It was a pleasure to be there.The service was great too...this restaurant is a must for food lovers looking...
