The new library building, which was completed in 1993, has inspired Estonian and foreign artists to exhibit their works there. The exhibitions are very varied, including books, photos and works of art by old masters and beginners. A gallery of works by Eduard Wiiralt, Estonia’s best known artist, has been opened since 1996.
