The 'Jõmmu' barge

The 'Jõmmu' barge is a timber goods vessel the likes of which sailed on Estonian waterways from Hanseatic times until the mid-20th century. The 'Jõmmu' sails on the Emajõgi River, Lake Peipsi and Lake Võrtsjärv from the start of April to the end of November. Trips on the barge can be booked for groups for a range of events, while the vessel will accommodate individual passengers and small groups as often as it can. On board you can watch a film on the history of the vessel, order food, make use of the services of a history or nature guide or take part in ship-modelling and rope-making workshops.
