On foot to Vilsandi
This trip to Vilsandi lets visitors explore the place where the Baltics' nature preservation efforts began in 1910. Traveling by foot, hikers experience the best views of the sea, the Vaika Islands and the nearby lighthouse. All the while gaining a better understanding of the areas coastal heritage that has been driven by its coastal landscapes.
With a portion of this expedition spent on a close-by island, hikers experience the peculiarities of Vilsandi nature, and hear stories of island life while learning about the many famous ship builders and sailors who grew up in Vilsandi.
Hikers are suggested to bring athletic clothing, swimwear and closed-toed shoes for this trip. An additional change of clothing and footwear is also recommended.
