See photos (13) There is a varied 1 km long forest trail in the immediate vicinity of the swimming area of Lake Pangodi and campsite. The trail starts and ends at the information board by Lake Pangodi.
The trail offers views of Lake Pangodi and the park forest. The War of Independence Memorial is a short walk from it. In addition, there are five signs on the trail, which passes the Pangodi campfire site with a small swimming area, a canopy, a campsite, and a campfire site with a roof and a barbecue grill.

From Tartu, drive 13 km in the direction of Võru and then turn off to the right towards Otepää. Continue for a further 9 km until you see the lake on your left. The trail starts and ends by the information board. You can park in the parking lot of the campsite by Lake Pangodi, the campfire site can only be reached on foot, RMK signs point there (approximately 500 m from the parking lot).
