Rakvere Castle

The castle offers many exciting activities for both children and grown-ups! You can try your hand at shooting a bow or a crossbow, sword fight and pike battle, forging, pottery, minting your own castle coins, and many other things. There's an exposition of the castle's history, historical weapons, and a torture chamber.

The castle cellar also offers wine tasting and is a home to Schenkenberg’s Pub offering meals made according to medieval recipes. Here you’ll also find an old Swedish cannon, and a display of a medieval brother and a barber’s shop.

  • Interesting old castle

Interesting old castle, hilarious lack of health and safety with unlit dungeons, ankle breaking novelty walks and heavy replica swords for sword fighting. Great fun but keep an eye on your kids!

  • Old castle

Very nice place to see, in Rakvere, if you are going to daytrip to North of Estonia, this is the place you must see. Old castleruins and a museum also.

  • Walk around medieval castle in daytime and night time

Even if you won't go inside (7 Eur for Adults, 14 Eur Family ticket), you might have a nice walk around the castle for free. The walk around takes at least 40 mins, as the area is quite substantial...
