Rakvere Castle

The castle offers many exciting activities for both children and grown-ups! You can try your hand at shooting a bow or a crossbow, sword fight and pike battle, forging, pottery, minting your own castle coins, and many other things. There's an exposition of the castle's history, historical weapons, and a torture chamber.

The castle cellar also offers wine tasting and is a home to Schenkenberg’s Pub offering meals made according to medieval recipes. Here you’ll also find an old Swedish cannon, and a display of a medieval brother and a barber’s shop.

    Impressive castle

The Rakvere castle really is impressive. Unfortunately we had to wonder it from the outside as the card payment wasn't possible that day. Remember to visit the Taurus statue as well.
