Come and see how people lived 100 years ago!
Life without electricity, sewage, and internet – seems impossible? Craftsmen who lived in this 18th century house could do without it! Here, you can see a 100-year-old living room, bedroom, dining room, and kitchen, as well as take a look at how apartments were furnished in the 1930s (on the other side of the house). There is a shoemaker’s workshop in the courtyard where you can learn their trade and a laundry room where you can wash laundry without a laundry machine.
On the first floor of the Town Citizen’s Home Museum, you can visit the Black Cat’s attic and the workshop of Otto the Bear where it is possible to organise birthday parties and seminars.

Step Back In Time

I did not think I would enjoy this museum but I was so surprised how good it was and so interesting. It really has everything and takes you back in time so you can experiment what it was really like...

Perfect place

Very interesting piece of history with authentic artefacts and very, very kind staff. This place is not so far from the center of Rakvere and of course must be visited.
