Last year, women's magazine Elle Travel selected it among the five best open air cinemas in the World. In the rooftop cinema programme you can discover a number of fresh film gems from last year, rare large-scale retrospectives and timeless classic cinema.
In the white nights of May, the Rooftop Cinema has a number of vital movies on its menu. Among them is Rufus Norris’s moving and beautiful drama “Broken”, the most viewed film in Russia last year about the passionately loved but scandalous multi-talent “Võssotski”. Also on the bill are Iranian director's Abbas Kiarostami minimalist and unexpectedly revealing début film “Like someone in love”, British film director's Chris Nolan’s grandiose finale to the Batman trilogy “The Dark Knight Returns” and the thought provoking documentary “More than honey” authored by Markus Imhoof.
For the 2013 season Rooftop cinema’s standard ticket costs 5 Euros and 7 Euros for a reserved box on the side terrace.
This year, rooftop cinema will last until September. Rooftop cinema’s sun terrace and café are open from Monday to Friday 12 pm to 2 am and on weekends from 5 pm to 2 am.
