Snowshoes represent the perfect way to go hiking through bogs and forests and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the snowy forests and wintry marshlands. There are a lot of wild animals in Estonia, and snowshoe hikes give you the chance to follow their tracks.
Kõrvemaa is a large nature reserve an hour's drive from Tallinn. Its rolling landscape is interspersed with forests and bogs. It is the ideal setting for snowshoe hiking and animal tracking. The area is home to a large number of elk, wild boars, linxes and a pack of wolves, whose tracks you may come across on your hike.
