The material being displayed in this exhibition takes in the period from 1944-1985. Using press photos, it shines the spotlight on the propagation of Soviet authority that affected all aspects of life and all ages groups during this period. The propaganda itself was disingenuous - despite the difficult conditions, deprivation and feeling of fear that prevailed, it depicted heroic workers and happy children.

The exhibition also reflects everyday life, song festivals, the theatre and other things that brought a little bit of positivity into the lives of the people in this complicated time.

The curator of the exhibition is Aigi Bremse.
