On December 4 the eyes of the continent's film buffs will be on Tallinn as the city hosts the 23rd European Film Awards Gala.
The ceremony, which takes place in the downtown Solaris Centre, is expected to be attended by 1,400 guests, including members of the European Film Academy, nominees and past winners, according to information from organizers.
The annual gala rotates between Berlin and another European city each year. Tallinn was chosen to host this year's event in connection with its status as European Capital of Culture in 2011.
The event will be shown live by major international broadcasters, and can also be viewed via live stream, starting at 18:00 GMT, on the www.europeanfilmawards.eu.
