In Sutlepa in the village of Saare in the Silma conservation area you will find a viewing platform, a bird-watching tower and two unique hiking huts.
The protected nature area takes in the northern part of Haapsalu Bay and Silmeni Strait, which once separated Noarootsi from the mainland. More than 200 bird species have been spotted here (including the sea eagle, osprey, black stork, crane, whooper swan and tundra swan). During the autumn migration as many as 100 000 water birds have been counted in the area. In addition to its wealth of bird life, the area is well known for its therapeutic muds and fish spawning sites.Times and prices
