The highest artificial hill in the Baltic States

Just off the Kiviõli-Sonda road, you will see the highest artificial hill in the Baltics – an amalgamation of residue from the processing of oil shale. Today, the hill is covered in a variety of plants and small trees. On the top of the hill, you can enjoy an outstanding view of the surrounding area and industrial landscape.

The Kiviõli Adventure Tourism Centre offers adventures and active holidays on the hill. On one slope of the hill, there is a bike centre and a race track for bikes; on this track, international competitions take place. On the other side of the hill, there is the skiing slope of the Adventure Centre that in winter turns into mountain skiing and snow boarding slopes; during summer, you can drive hill cars and enjoy the longest cable rappelling in Estonia (600 m).
