The Jägala River and suspension bridge

The Jägala RIver begins in the village of Ahula that stands on the western Pandivere uplands; then, it runs through Northern Estonia and flows into Ihasalu Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The upper course of the 97-kilometre river flows through the swamps of Kõrvemaa.

There is a suspension bridge with a wonderful view in the river mouth, and 4.3 km from the river mouth, you find Jägala falls. The middle and lower course of the Jägala River have several dams; the highest of these is the dam of the Linnamäe hydroelectric power plant (height: 11 m), located about 1.3 km from the river mouth.
