Simple and cheerful: getting here and around
Once you arrive to Tallinn by land, air or water, it only takes you a maximum of ten minutes to reach all the exciting sightseeing spots in the city centre. Depending on where you will be arriving, a short stroll to the coach or a train provides you with an access to numerous holiday destinations across the country. If you'd like to take your own car, bike or a boat, then many routes crossing the country are also there to be enjoyed.
Believe it or not but in deep winter the Baltic Sea freezes creating roads between the mainland and the islands. The longest ice road in Europe is the 26.5 km route between Rohuküla on continental Estonia and Heltermaa on Hiiumaa island.
