TOUREST (12th-14th of February) is undoubtedly the most important event and the highlight of the year for the Estonian travel industry. It is also a MUST for tourism professionals from neighboring and many other countries of the world.
The Organizers of the Fair and long time partners – the Estonian Association of Travel Agents and the Estonian Tourist Board – organize the fair for the 19th time. With TOUREST 2010 the Estonian Association of Travel Agents also celebrates it’s upcoming 20th anniversary on April 4th.
TOUREST 2009 covered a 2696 m² space of the total 6747m² area of 2 exhibition halls, more than 343 exhibitors from 26 countries were represented and the fair was visited by 23 684 people.
For TOUREST 2010 the Organizers have again prepared 2 exhibition halls: one hall for international exhibitors such as representations of Tourist Boards or Embassies and companies from many countries all over the world as well as for all big Estonian tour operators, travel agents, air and road transport companies, resorts and spas, hotels, restaurants, museums etc. Another hall for Estonian domestic tourism will be full of Estonian exhibitors representing all regions of Estonia. A children’s hall with many special activities for children will once again be opened.
Traditionally, a travel related entertainment program with auctions, games and various performances is planned for the main stage. In addition, special offers, lotteries and games will be carried out on exhibitors’ stands.
On Friday, February 12th , seminars and presentations for travel professionals will take place, among them the traditional consular information hour of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and an information event of the Estonian Consumer Protection Authorities.
At the official opening of TOUREST 2010 the Best Tourism Promoter 2009 and the Best Tourism Establishment 2009 will be announced.
