The region of Lake Võrtsjärve is a mystical natural habitat with its old fishing villages and Tondisaare island. A sacrificial stone can be found 1.3 km from the northern shore of Võrtsjärv, which is known for its healing powers and the music that is heard beneath it at nights.
Available at the Lake Võrtsjärv Visitor Centre are; a fully stocked café and souvenir shop, a camp ground AND caravan park! A tourist information centre with public Internet access; and both a permanent exhibition of Lake Võrtsjärv (herbarium, fossils, insects) and an exhibition of Andrei Reinol's landscape photography.
