Võru folk dance festival

Since 1995, hundreds of dancers, musicians, and singers from Estonia and abroad have gathered in Võru County in July to offer a unique opportunity to be a part of the folk art of different countries.

The festival includes unique concerts and village parties, a competition of playing the Teppo accordion, workshops, a street dance, evening songs on Tamula beach, concerts by young folk musicians, night cinema, and an art and handicraft fair.

The mission of the festival is to promote folk dance and the culture of related festivals in Estonia, as well as to keep this culture alive in the largest festival of its kind in Estonia.
