This sculpture is dedicated to famous Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, who spent his formative years and began his musical studies in Rakvere. It was inspired by the man himself, from a time when he was cycling on Market Square (now Central Square) listening to the radio programmes and music being broadcast from a speaker on top of a telephone post. The broader message of the sculpture is that every child can become a well-known and respected composer, scientist or representative of any profession. The sculpture was unveiled to mark the composer's 75th birthday on 11 September 2010.
